‘The Northern Arts Gala presents: CULTR.’ is a cohort of eight art and design practitioners, all currently students at The Northern School of Art, Hartlepool, who have come together to present their work under the theme of ‘culture and identity’. Each artist expounds on the contemporary world around them in a multimedia exhibition including fashion, design, sculpture, photography, and painting. The work engages in a variety of conversations around class, feminism, sex, and mental health.
