This October, we’re opening our doors to experimental supper club and culinary collective Camel & Jeans as they take over the Nunnery Café and Gallery with a three-course vegan communal dining experience, paying homage to the humble back garden through food, stories, memories and sounds.
The culinary brainchild of MasterChef quarter and semi-finalists, Hannah, Farokh and Mark, Camel & Jeans curate experimental supper clubs that straddle the boundary between art and cooking.
For this iteration, Camel & Jeans are taking cues from Patrick Goddard’s Programme 1 of this year’s Visions, which sees the gallery transformed into one of Goddard’s characteristic immersive installations, drawing on themes of the English garden, nostalgia, ecology, pets, and abandonment.
Menu details:
Starter: Memories of Farms (with celeriac, spinach, hay)
Main course: Backyard Campfire (with lentils, mushrooms, potatoes, leeks, annatto)
Dessert: Potted Plants in Bloom (with chocolate, beetroot, mint, basil)
This is also a chance to view Visions in the Nunnery after hours, with drinks available to purchase throughout the evening in the Nunnery Café.
As food will be prepared by a very small and busy team, please be aware that we are not able to cater to specific dietary requirements or allergies.
After meeting on MasterChef 2022, Farokh, Hannah and Mark were drawn together, brimming with ideas to collaborate. The trio of cooks brought their individual styles together, culminating in a 10-course experimental tasting menu, changing monthly, served in an intimate supper club setting.
