The Object is the Subject: Salesman's Samples, 1988-1991

These works are from an experiment in pairing a sculptural assemblage with its photographic likeness. The photos are hand-printed on canvas using a liquid light-sensitive emulsion giving them a painterly look. The eye moves back and forth from object to photograph, comparing and judging.

Also on view is work by Lynn Beldner. Presenting quiet, beautiful textile and watercolor works that touch on hard subjects.
